i originally thought this was ivan! lol. i read it twice, and didn't see the "carl" part.  It seemed like something Ivan would say cause I feel like he is more inappropiate and makes WAY too many offhanded side comments.  But now I do renember you saying Carl being more inappropiate lately.

But ew!!!!..I think he's trying to flirt with you but just doing it too inappropiately hahaeither that or his feelings and attraction for you is getting the better of him b/c he spends so much time with you and isn't able to express his emotions since you guys are just friends.  This is just my theory but I think when people first start liking someone they know how to handle it (keep their cool, continue to be friends without the friendship being laced with their emotions) but then the more time you spend with them, the more you are around them so you ccan't put up a front all the tiem whenyou're interacting with them most parts of the day..so you kinda end up just expressing what you're feeling in a constrained way (like, his emotions leaking out).
